As the core technologies of FinTech (AI, Blockchain, Big Data Analysis, Cloud Computing, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Mobile Payment etc,) are being developed, the diverse technologies are widely introduced and applied in various industrial fields, providing customers with progressively convenient and innovative financial services. Yet, the rise of alternative finance and the trend of financial digital transformation have also led to a growing concern of information security risks and disputes over personal data authorization-related laws and regulations. It is hoped that this event will help the authorities to resolve the controversy of RegTech under the innovative finance and provide effective policy suggestions. Furthermore, in view of the extreme global climate change, the pursuit of personal quality of life and the maximization of organizational interests, as well as the effective balance of environmental, social responsibility and corporate governance are becoming gradually important to the public opinion from all walks of life, which also attracts the government and enterprises from all over the world to devote themselves to sustainable development initiatives in order to gain recognition from organizational stakeholders.
In the face of the challenges of extreme climate change and the world trend of emphasizing sustainable development, the financial institutions which play the role of market capital supply agents are facing the greatest challenge of how to provide innovative green financial services and guidance through an effective framework of sustainable investment and financing analysis. In this year, The Center for Innovative FinTech Business Models of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is preparing The 3rd International Trends and Prospects Forum of FinTech, RegTech and Sustainable Finance, which will not only focus on the planning of an international academic conference to promote in-depth research and exchange in related areas of FinTech and green finance both domestically and internationally, but also invite representatives from the global and local FinTech ecosystem from industries, government and academia to exchange various cross-disciplinary practical issues. It is expected that this event will highlight the fundamental points of Taiwan’s efforts to encourage and promote sustainable financial technology and strengthen Taiwan’s international influence on the cross-disciplinary integration of green financial technology.
